Rosie Pratt Naturopath is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information. This policy explains how I collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you access my services or website.

I handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

I may collect personal information, including your name, email address, phone number and other contact details when you enquire about my services, book a consultation or subscribe to my newsletter.

When you receive naturopathic care, I may also collect sensitive health information relevant to your care, including your health history, symptoms, medications, supplements, treatment plans and pathology results.

This information is collected to help me understand your health needs, provide appropriate naturopathic care and monitor your progress.

Personal information may be collected directly from you during consultations, through online forms, by email, over the phone or through other communication methods.

Your personal information may be used to:

• Respond to enquiries and manage bookings.
• Provide naturopathic consultations and appropriate follow-up care.
• Maintain clinical records and support continuity of care.
• Process payments and manage practice administration.

I maintain clinical records containing your personal and health information as part of providing and managing your care. These records are stored electronically using Halaxy, a third-party practice management system.

I also maintain a separate database containing basic contact details, including your first name, surname, email address and phone number. This information is used for practice administration and communication. I do not intentionally store detailed clinical records or health histories in this separate contact database.

If you email me information relating to your health, such as pathology results, that information may temporarily be held in my email account before being transferred to your clinical record.

I take reasonable steps to protect the personal information I hold from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, electronic storage and transmission cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Personal information is retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, professional and recordkeeping requirements. Information that is no longer required will be securely destroyed or de-identified where appropriate and lawful.

I do not sell your personal information.

Where necessary to operate my practice and provide care, relevant information may be handled by third-party service providers, including Halaxy, email providers, online consultation platforms and payment processors.

These providers may store or process information on my behalf in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable arrangements.

Information may also be shared with other healthcare practitioners where appropriate for your care and authorised by you, or where required or permitted by law.

Some third-party providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where applicable, I take reasonable steps to address my privacy obligations in relation to overseas disclosures.

If you subscribe to my newsletter, I may use your contact details to send practice news, educational information and updates.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe by contacting me directly.

You may request access to personal information I hold about you or ask for it to be corrected if you believe it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

To make a request, please contact me using the details provided in Section 9.

I will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe. Some limitations may apply where access is restricted by law.

When you use my website, certain technical information may be collected by the website platform or other services used to operate the site. Depending on the services and settings in place, this may include information about your browser, device or website usage.

Online bookings, consultations, forms and payments may be provided through third-party platforms, which may have their own privacy policies and terms.
